Like octopus, squid, and cuttlefish, ammonites were cephalopods, though only their shells are preserved in the fossil record. In order to be fossilised, a dead ammonite would need to settle to the seabed, where it would be buried by sediment. Various chemical processes are then involved in the formation of a fossil from the ammonite’s shell. Fold-outs, if any, are not part of the book. If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set. This paperback book is SEWN, where the book block is actually sewn (smythe sewn/section sewn) with thread before binding which results in a more durable type of paperback binding.

Moab led Israel into Baal worship on its way into Canaan (Num. –3). Both the Ammonites and the Moabites hired Balaam to curse Israel as it journeyed toward the Promised Land and were thus forbidden to enter the Lord’s assembly (Deut. –4). However, the curse on these peoples is due to lack of faith, not ethnicity.
